Suggestion: Default bid amount for SlamIt

33 5 2

I'm very active on eBay. I look ahead for 3-4 days, and save auctions via SlamIt to review in detail before the items end. Sometimes up to 200 or so. Once in a while I forget to change the bid to under the minimum bid before saving, and end up winning an item I overlooked or didn't want in the first place.

Would it be possible to add a Preference for bidder to set a default amount for all added via SlamIt? If not a set amount, then perhaps a percentage below the minimum/current bid? I imagine it would need an on/off toggle as well.

Hello John,

Thank you for the suggestion. Sure, people love options. I can put an option to underbid or overbid by one increment.

BTW thanks for the online review! There's another tool we are launching soon. You can help us make it better. I'll follow up with that soon. It's ready to launch, I just have to figure out how to make room for another button, lol

There's a teaser site for it: https://bidwiser.ai/

Ok, this feature is there now. It's in Preferences as "Default Bid Amount." Please try it and see if it works the way you hoped.

Tried it and confirm it will allow me to set a specific value to be the default bid. That fills my needs perfectly. Thank you!

For Bidwiser, I put in Item #: 287095836674. Came back that it couldn't analyze - "We couldn't retrieve the listing information. The item may have ended or been removed from eBay." It is a valid open auction that ends in about 18 hours. Tried as an URL, same result.

Ok glad it works the way you want. Other customers might want to use the feature also.

I saw the BidWiser error as soon as it launched. ouch -- will follow up in a couple of weeks.
